Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) is Saskatchewan’s largest Catholic school division, serving over 19,500 students across 50 schools in Saskatoon, Biggar, Humboldt, Warman and Martensville. In collaboration with families and community partners, GSCS has developed a variety of programs to foster Indigenous student belonging, participation and success. This includes a kindergarten to grade ten Cree Bilingual program at St. Frances School and E.D. Feehan Catholic High School, a core Michif language program at St. Michael Métis School of Excellence, cultural programming at Oskāyak High School, a state-of-the-art fitness facility at E. D. Feehan, as well as a nationally recognized social pediatrics program at St. Mary’s Wellness & Education Centre. We are committed to a full response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and to partnership with First Nations and Métis families and communities, engaging over 3,500 Indigenous students across the division.
The Manager – Community and Resource Development works with Indigenous families and community partners to enhance First Nations and Métis voice and participation, and to mobilize resources to support First Nations and Métis partnerships and innovations.
