Main Duties
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position promotes the growth and development of First Nations employment by developing and overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support positive employee relations. This position is responsible for the organization-wide leadership of the Human Resource functions including: HR Business Partners (Employee Relations), SIGA’s Corporate Safety Program, Total Rewards (Benefits, Pension & Compensation), Health & Wellness Initiatives, Disability Management and HR Systems.
Responsibilities include: Providing effective leadership and management of six teams of HR professionals through the effective delivery of Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Corporate Safety program & initiatives, Disability Management and HR Systems best practices for the organization. Promoting an engaged and balanced work environment through the development of sound human resource policies and effective employee relations, safety, wellness and disability programs with consideration to diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the workforce. Leading strategic planning, design, analysis, and management of projects and initiatives. Leading and managing channels of employee communication and feedback. Responding to complaints and appeals from a corporate perspective, supporting the effective delivery of terminations within the organization, and representing SIGA as the employer representative at litigation hearings.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR)
The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC
