The Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation Inc. (SIEF) is one of the leading Aboriginal financial institutions in Canada. SIEF has been providing lending services to First Nations in Saskatchewan since 1986 and currently serves more than 300 clients.
POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Officer, the Business Development Officer II provides financial support for Aboriginal economic and business development, including assisting with job creation, and providing a net economic benefit to the province of Saskatchewan for First Nations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
1) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
2) Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
3) A business degree in commerce with 1 to 3 years related experience accompanied by a CAFM, CBV or CMA designation would be preferred. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
4) Knowledge of the financial principles with the ability to analyze financial data.
5) Knowledge and experience with commercial lending would be an asset.
6) Experience conducting proper due diligence and risk management within all projects and responsibilities.
7) Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license and must be bondable.
The position is based in Saskatoon, with some travel required. The successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check and undergo a credit check. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Salary range for this position is $55,915.00 - $80,000.00.
