Main Duties
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Finance & Administration, this position promotes financial accountability in support of organizational excellence. The objective of the Finance department is to ensure the accuracy and validity of the financial information, through strong and consistently applied internal controls, and providing accuracy in financial reporting. The Corporate Controller is responsible for the financial function of the business and casino finance practices and will be a key member of the management team.
This position will provide leadership and coordination of corporate financial accounting and reporting, oversight and execution of the Anti-Money Laundering Program, daily casino auditing, casino site financial procedures, working with internal and external audit, executing the budgeting process, and involvement with projects and initiatives; in accordance with IFRS.
Responsibilities include: overseeing daily financial operations relating to cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Leading and participating (as required) in planning and policy-making activities to provide the required perspective and consideration of impact on financial operations. Overseeing the leadership and management of the accounting, casino related auditing, and the AML program. Overseeing all financial reporting activities, to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of information. Leading the design of ERM processes for the finance department. Overseeing the records management process and controls for the finance department. Participating in other projects and activities as required to ensure accountability and adherence to best financial practices, organization-wide.
