
High School Construction & Carpentry Teacher-MOOSOMIN
OVERVIEW:
Chief Moosomin School is a Pre-K to grade 12 school located 30 kilometers north of North Battleford Saskatchewan in the heart of Treaty 6 territory. Moosomin First Nation Education Council (MFNEC) is dedicated and culturally rooted to furthering academic, cultural and language pride of all students. DESCRIPTION:
The teacher will be responsible for teaching Construction & Carpentry 10, 20, 30. The teacher may also be required to teach Wellness 10, Phys Ed 20, 30, and electives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have:
· Minimum Bachelor of Education and Professional “A” Certificate
· Journeyman in Carpentry would be an asset.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching high school subjects
· Must provide a criminal record (CPIC) and vulnerable sector check.
· Possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License.
SKILLS:
· Differentiate by using different instructional strategies that match the preferences of individuals or groups in their classrooms.
· Design lessons based on students’ learning styles.
· Assess students’ learning using formative and summative assessment.
· Manage the classroom to create a safe and supportive environment.
· Continually assess and adjust lesson content to meet students’ needs.
· Follow the Saskatchewan High School Curriculum
· Knowledgeable in outcome based assessments
