
Principal – LITTLE PINE
• Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra-curricular activities
• Be able to prepare students for further educational goals
• Participation in curriculum development as required
• Review or authorize all School staff requests for instructional materials and equipment within the year’s budget
• Make recommendations to Administration on any matter which will improve the excellence of the school
• Perform other duties as required by the Director of Education
• Respect and awareness of First Nation Cultural practices
• Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed.);
• Master's Degree in Education preferred;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Leadership role with a Teaching background;
• Previous successful school administration experience would be considered an asset;
• A Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate;
• Ability to maintain Confidentiality;
• Must have a Valid Driver's license;
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills;
• Demon st rat ed organization and analytic al skills;
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of the teaching team;
• Ability to develop collaborative working relationship s with parents and colleagues;
• Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills;
• Cultural Competency;
• Provide recent Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
