
This position contributes to SIGA’s reputation for organizational excellence by providing strategic design, implementation, communication, and administration of SIGA’s compensation, benefits, pension, disability management, and employee recognition programs. This role ensures total rewards strategies support SIGA’s business objectives, drive employee engagement, ensure competitiveness in the market, and align with internal equity and legislative compliance.
Lead in designing, implementing, evaluating and modifying Total Rewards policies and procedures to ensure programs and services are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements. Oversee compensation strategy through job evaluation, benchmarking, marketing pricing, annual compensation cycles, and job architecture. Manage and implement employee benefit programs including health, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, registered pension, and additional savings plans. Develop Total Rewards communication strategies to ensure employee awareness and understanding. Oversee SIGA’s employee recognition platform and programs. Develop and implement Disability Management programs and procedures, supporting employees in their accommodation process or return to work. Provide effective management of staff, promoting good relationships and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Gathering Total Rewards data, assessing effectiveness of programs and services and preparing reports on effectiveness, participation, and return on investment. Modeling SIGA’s values, and presenting a positive image of SIGA in the community. Participating in other projects and activities as required, in support of SIGA’s priorities.
