
Multiple Teacher Positions – PELICAN LAKE
(Primary Elementary, Grade 8, two Grade 9, Treaty Language Culture Catalyst, Phys. Ed. Teacher and PAA {Practical Applied Arts} Teacher)
Pelican Lake First Nation is located about 175 km northeast of North Battleford, SK.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND ABILITIES / ATTRIBUTES:
· Develop and monitor program workplans, objectives and outcomes
· Ability to embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice
· Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience
· Tutor students
· Provide academic support to students
· Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, workshops as directed
· Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
· Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra-curricular activities
· Be able to prepare students for further educational goals
· Participation in curriculum development as required
· Successful teaching experience or training;
· Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
· Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
